Pak TV Channel Fires 17 Because PM Event Isn't Covered Due To Laptop Issue

Due to the lack of an advanced laptop, a Pakistan Television (PTV) team was unable to provide "proper" coverage of PM Shehbaz Sharif's event.

Islamabad: Pakistan's state-run PTV has suspended 17 employees for failing to provide "proper" coverage of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's visit to Lahore due to the lack of an advanced laptop.

Last week, the newly-elected Prime Minister paid visits to Kot Lakhpat Jail and Ramazan Bazaars in Lahore.

However, a Pakistan Television (PTV) team was unable to provide "proper" coverage due to the lack of an advanced laptop required to upload the video footage via File Transfer Protocol (FTP), according to the Dawn newspaper.

A VVIP team comprised of reporters and producers is in charge of covering the prime minister, according to standard operating procedures. According to the report, the team is outfitted with the most up-to-date technology, including laptops for live streaming and timely uploading of event footage.
