The Rajasthan Railway Station 'Miyan Ka Bada' Has Been Renamed 'Mahesh Nagar Halt.'
The village's name was changed from 'Miyan ka Bada' to 'Mahesh Nagar' in 2018, but the railway station's name was not changed.
Rajasthan's Barmer: An official renaming ceremony for the 'Miyan ka Bada' railway station to 'Mahesh Nagar halt' was held in the Balotra area of Rajasthan's Barmer district.
On Saturday, the event was attended by Union Minister of Jal Shakti Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Union Minister of State for Agriculture Kailash Choudhary, among others.
The village's name was changed from 'Miyan ka Bada' to Mahesh Nagar in 2018, but the railway station's name was not changed.
"It is a lengthy procedure. Both the federal and state governments agree, and the name of the railway station is changed "Mr. Shekhawat stated.
He went on to say that it had been a long-standing demand of the villagers.
